Chicken Souvlaki Skewers with Tzatziki

Enjoy tender, marinated chicken skewers with a fresh and creamy tzatziki. An easy BBQ recipe that’s perfect for a relaxed lunch, light dinner or shared platter from the grill.

Ingredients

Chicken:
400 g chicken breast, cut into cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp paprika powder
Salt and pepper

Tzatziki:
150 g Greek yoghurt
1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp lemon juice

Preparation

Fire up your Grill Guru and preheat to 200°C for direct grilling.

In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper into a fragrant marinade. Add the chicken cubes and toss well to coat. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb all those fresh Mediterranean flavours.

Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and place them on the grill. Grill for 10 - 12 minutes, turning regularly, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki by combining the Greek yoghurt, grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. Mix well and let it chill briefly so the flavours can come together.

Serve the chicken souvlaki skewers hot from the grill with a generous spoon of tzatziki on the side.
